Sonic Youth to perform 'Daydream Nation' at ATP

April 13, 2007:

Sonic Youth have announced that they will play their seminal album, Daydream
Nation,
in its entirety at this year's All Tomorrow's Parties festival in London.

The show will be part of a new ATP series entitled "Don't Look Back," where artists
are asked to perform an entire work on stage. Past performances include the
Stooges performing Fun House and Teenage Fanclub performing
Bandwagonesque.

The bulk of Daydream Nation, a double album released in 1988, has not been
performed live by the band since 1989. In 2005, the record was included in the
Library of Congress' collection.

Sonic Youth will take the stage at the Roundhouse on Aug. 31. For ticket and

CHRIS CORNELL LEAVES AUDIOSLAVE, PLANS NEW ALBUM

Former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell announced today that he has
officially left Audioslave and will release Carry On, his second solo album, on
May 1.

"Due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences, I am
permanently leaving the band Audioslave," Cornell said in the press release. "I
wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors."

Cornell's new record was produced by Steve Lillywhite and will include "You Know
My Name," which served as the theme song to Casino Royale, the latest James
Bond film.

The remaining members of Audioslave, which includes guitarist Tom Morello,
bassist Tim Commoford and drummer Brad Wilk, are scheduled to headline the
Coachella festival in Indio, Calif., in April alongside frontman Zach de la Rocha as
part of a reunited Rage Against the Machine. Rage split following the recording of
the covers album Renegades in 2000.
